I recently purchased the set of Revere Revolution Nonstick pans. I have to say I love them. I cooked macaroni in the 2 1/2 qt. saucepan last night. It was so easy to turn the lid and drain the water off. No colonder needed. I went looking for the copper bottom pans - which I have used in the past. I saw these and knew it was what I wanted. I am really glad I bought them. It was an extravagence, but I am very happy with my purchase.

The version of DuPont SilverStone that clads these pieces both inside and out is 75% more durable than regular DuPont SilverStone making it far more scratch-resistant and stronger. The tempered glass colander covers make straining easy and provide venting for steam. They include both large and small holes for draining both large and small foods. If you are looking for a new set of nonstick cookware with other useful features at a very reasonable price, this collection will do very nicely and includes all the basic pieces most cooks need.Though its attractive, gray-fleck finish evokes the rustic cooking of yesteryear, the cookware in this set is thoroughly up to date. For one thing, the Silverstone nonstick finish--inside and out--is far more scratch-resistant and durable than normal Silverstone. Additionally, saucepans have double pouring spouts, and their tempered-glass covers include colander holes, so water can be poured off with the covers on and steam can be vented during cooking. Ergonomic handles with thumb stops provide firm grips and safety. Finally, everything is oven-safe at up to 350 degrees F. The set consists of three covered saucepans (1-1/2, 2-1/2, and 3-1/2 quarts), a 5-quart covered Dutch oven for braising on the stovetop and in the oven, a 7-inch skillet, and a 9-1/2-inch skillet that can be covered with the Dutch oven lid. Hand washing is recommended for this cookware, which carries a 25-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack
